How to Activate, Deactivate and Move Your Enscape Licence
Enscape 4.1 and Up
Enscape now uses the Chaos Licensing system so you will be asked to log into your
Chaos account during the install and if you run into errors then see
this article for further advice but please try to log into the localhost page first and if you see a green light then close Enscape and try again.
There is a current bug regarding 'Enscape is unable to find the Chaos Unified Login service' however if you see a Green light on
http://localhost:30304/#/ then this is most likely a Visual bug and you can continue to render and use the software.
For version 4.0 and below please use the below instructions to activate an Enscape Licence
Once you have purchased an Enscape subscription, you will receive a licence/serial that you will need to activate Enscape on your machine. To activate Enscape, whether fixed seat or floating, open the '
About ' or 'Enscape Account' window via the Enscape ribbon in the CAD program you've installed Enscape for (e.g. SketchUp). Then, click
Manage Licences.
This will then open the window which shows the licence details. The following shows the window where the Trial version has expired and therefore no License Key is active.
Click on the
Enter License Key button which will open
the window where your key can be entered. Make sure to copy the full key and ensure there are no additional spaces or letters copied. Once entered, click on
Apply License to activate the license.
If the activation is successful, you will see "Thank you for using Enscape!" and you're free to close that window.
If you receive an error message when trying to apply your licence, please contact us.
Remove a License Key
You may need to deactivate an Enscape licence when you move the software to another machine.
Open the
About or Enscape Account window and click the
Manage Licenses button. Then, click the
Remove License Key button, which will unbind the license key from that machine.
If it’s a Fixed Seat License Key, there will be two buttons available: clicking the Remove License Key button will simply remove the license key on that machine, as is with the Floating License Key. The other button that will be available is named Deactivate License Key and will simply deactivate the license key but will not remove it. This means you’ll be able to reactivate the license key on the same machine at a later date by clicking on the Activate button that will be available and means you won’t have to paste the license key in again.
If you need to move your licence, but do not have access to your computer, for example due to hardware failure, you will need to email
licensing@enscape3d.com to request the activation is cleared.
