Error 10061

Chaos Error 10061

When using Chaos products the software needs to connect to the licence server to be able to validate the licence, the error 10061 means your machine cannot connect to the licence server.
When attempting to connect to http://localhost:30304/ users will be told they cannot connect or reach the page.

Restart the Chaos Licence server

The simplest fix is to restart the background processes that connect to the licence server, this is more for Windows so Mac Users we recommend reinstalling the licence server or checking your background processes

Windows:
In the Windows search bar look for Stop Chaos Unified Login and run that, then look for Stop Chaos Licence Server, and again run this.

Then in the search bar look for Start Chaos Unified Login and Start Chaos Licence Server and run both of these.

Once complete head back to http://localhost:30304/ and see if you're able to connect.

Firewalls + Reinstall

If the above fails then it will be worth checking your firewall and Anti-virus to ensure the connect isn't blocked. If you do not have an IT team who runs this for you then reinstalling and ensure you allow Chaos to connect through the firewall is the simplest option.

Follow our guide here to uninstall the licence server and while installing (after right-clicking and using 'Run as Administrator' for Windows) go into Advanced and allow Firewall
