Permissions Repair on Mac OS X

With some software installation on a Mac, problems can occur when file permissions become incorrect. This is not uncommon and can prevent config files being saved, new files being created in the correct locations or existing files being read by software. 

Repairing file permissions on a Mac is good for your machine's health - so can be done regularly. Please follow the instructions below to repair the file permissions on your Mac:

 

Go to your applications folder and open the 'Utilities' folder.
