Installing Rhino on Multiple Computers

A Rhino license is an individual license. It cannot be installed multiple times. However, if you wish to make one or more licenses available over a network for use by different workstations at different times, this can be configured using 'The Zoo'. The Zoo is a free programme from McNeel that allows any McNeel licenses to be networked.

More information on The Zoo, can be found on the McNeel Wiki site: http://wiki.mcneel.com/zoo/home

If you want to make a single Rhino license available on your work computer and laptop, it can be possible using The Zoo and ensuring both computers are linked by the same network. For example, The Zoo could be installed on a laptop, which then runs as the license server. This would make a license permantly available to the laptop, and the work computer could check the license out from The Zoo, when the laptop was within the same network and running as a license server.
