Please note, that a firewall may prevent the deactivation of a license file for transfer. It may be necessary to turn off the firewall on both computers during the license transfer.
You can switch back and forth between (up to 3) computers using the following instructions.
Deactivate/Activate Instructions:
(On your work computer) - Must be connected to the Internet
- Open KeyShot
- Click on ‘KeyShot’ (Mac) or ‘Help’ (PC) at the top of the screen
- Click on "Deactivate KeyShot on this machine"
- Close KeyShot
(On your home computer) - Must be connected to the Internet
- Download and install KeyShot
- Open KeyShot
- Under ‘KeyShot’ on Mac or under ‘Help’ on PC Click: "Register a license"
- Click YES when asked: “Do you want to upgrade your existing license using a new serial code?”
- Click: "Activate with your serial code for full license"
- Type in your info and click continue
- Type in serial code
- Click continue through Animation and KeyShotVR parts without entering a code if no code is available
Once you have KeyShot installed on both computers, you can switch by deactivating the license on one and reactivating on the other. All of your information should be retained so you just need to click through the registration screens to get to the point where KeyShot checks with the server. You will not be able to run KeyShot on both computers simultaneously.
