With the latest Mac OS now officially launched you may be prompted to update your system. However there have been a number of reports regarding security issues and being locked out of some software and sites.
The main users effected are those that use VPNs, antivirus, firewalls and other cybersecurity measures, with some users even unable to access Firefox and Chrome after the update.
For CAD and other software they will, for a time, be classed as unsupported so if you do encounter any bugs after upgrading then it is best to raise the issue with whoever possible (manufacturer, forums, dedicated ticket system, etc...) but be prepared to be asked to roll back to Sonoma to see if that is the cause of the issue. While it is still very early days as of writing this, so most bugs are yet to be found regarding the system change so keep an eye out for future updates to both the Mac and the software as well as any known bugs that may cause your workflow to be disrupted on places like blogs, forums, communities, etc.
