Keyshot Floating License

Keyshot floating licences require additional information to complete the licensing process. Download details and serials are provided with any purchase; however, to complete the licensing process we need the MAC address and computer name of the server that the license will be installed on. A specially generated key file will then be provided to you.


Important information about Keyshot floating licenses:

  • Keyshot uses the FlexLM license management software, a very popular tool for many applications.
  • FlexLM typically operates on ports 27000 to 27010 - though a custom port can be set if required.
  • Floating licenses will make available across a network the number of Keyshot seats that have been purchased. A floating license does not mean an unlimited number of users - it simply means that the licenses that have been purchased are made available to every machine on a network (on a first-come-first-serve basis).
