Issues when transferring your licence to a new machine
When switching computers it is important to deactivate your licence on the old and then properly activate it on the new but even when done right it can get stuck.
If this happens to you where the licence will appear activated but not fully stick then please try the below.
1. In SketchUp, go to the Ruby Console:
- Extensions>Developer>Ruby console
- Open the Ruby Console.
2. Type in pdm_cl and press enter - this will clear the license from the local SketchUp preference file
3. Now open the SU Podium V2.6 License Manager and activate the license with your SU Podium V2.6 license key.
4. After activation, you must Quit all open instances of SketchUp properly.
Do not use 'X' to quit, instead -
- Windows - file > Exit
- Mac - Right-click the icon > Quit
This action will save the license to the SketchUp preference.json file permanently
and will automatically activate Podium Browser.
5. Start SketchUp again, go to the SU Podium V2.6 license manager and check the license is activated.
