To install a product go into the Maxon App and scroll through your Products, this shows all products included with options to install or launch depending if it’s already installed. Simply click “Install” and follow the on screen prompts.
To uninstall on Windows simply click the three dots by the product > ‘Uninstall’ and follow the on screen prompts.
If you are on Mac this button is greyed out so we have to rely on traditional methods of uninstalling software. RedGiant can be done using the above method on a Mac.
Zbrush - Head to your applications folder and find ‘Maxon Zbrush 20XX’ > Uninstall and run the uninstaller being sure to read and understand the onscreen prompts/warnings.
Cinema 4D - First go to the Applications folder > Find the Maxon Cinema 4D Rxx or Maxon Cinema 4D 20xx folder of the version you wish to delete > Delete this folder and empty your trash.
Next delete the Maxon preferences Folder:
/Users/<username>/*Library*/Preferences/Maxon.
As the Library folder is hidden, use the hotkey combination CMD+Shift+. (period key) to unhide it.
Lastly, empty your bin. You will need to restart the Maxon App if it still shows as installed.
Redshift - Open the Finder and search for the following folders and delete every "Redshift" folder shown:
Macintosh HD / Applications /
Macintosh HD / Applications / Maxon Cinema 4D Rxx / plugins /
Macintosh HD / Users / <user name> /
In case you use another DCC besides or instead of Cinema 4D, search for the plugin location of your used App.
If you need to update or want to check for an update for a Maxon product you will need to be in the Maxon App, head to the left hand side under Updates. If you have an update for an installed product it will be here.
