How to Install BobCAD for Solidworks

After purchasing a licence for BobCAD to be used in Solidworks you will need to download the installer, right click and 'Run as administrator'.

From here you will have a series of pop up screens which we will go through the below. 



You will need to agree to the licence agreement before you are able to continue. 


Here you have two options for the install, for the simplest install its best to go with complete but if you need to save space when installing the software then you can choose custom and just select the modules you have/need. 

After this just install and then once installed you will need to open Solidworks and then met the Licence registration. Here you can either start your 30 Day trial or Activate your licence.


Again the easiest way to activate will be over the Internet, you will be asked to provide some details including your Licence ID and Password which will be found at the bottom of your product invoice or sent to you directly. 

Finally Solidworks will finish opening and then you can use your tools. If the add-ins tab does not automatically open the BobCAD plugin you will need to go to Tools > Add-ins and ensure the BobCAD add ins are set to active.
