Getting Started with SketchUp
Thank you for purchasing SketchUp. Please have a quick read of this email to ensure you’re up and running as quickly as possible.
Download
If you haven’t downloaded SketchUp already, please click on the link and select the version that matches your computer.
The installer is the same for commercial, educational and non-profit licences and for Pro and Studio.
Install
Once downloaded, you might need to do a couple of things to install..
Windows
Go to your downloads location.
Right click on the installer and ‘Run as administrator..’
This is important to ensure the software downloads and sets up correctly
Mac
If nothing happens when you double click on the dmg file,
check your security settings and try again. Mac likes to try to protect you from opening files downloaded from the internet so may take a few attempts but if it being persistent please feel free to get in contact.
System Settings > Privacy & Security > Security
Sign In
Sign in using the email address you used in your order. This will be the same as you recieve emails from us unless otherwise specified in your order.
- Please note: there is no licence key or serial number.
- If you’re having issues signing in, please double check the email address matches the one in your order.
- Ignore the ‘Add Classic License’ option, this is no longer used.
Assign Users
Is SketchUp telling you your trial has expired or asking you to start one?
Once signed in, you may need to assign users - even for single licences.
